Romanian journalist confronts awkward Theresa May over Brexit at swanky party (VIDEO)
A Romanian journalist confronted UK Prime Minister Theresa May at a posh summer party on Thursday night about her plans for EU citizens in the UK.
Nimrod Kamer, an art columnist for GQ magazine, asked the prime minister for a “quick picture” before filming himself criticizing her for making EU passport-holders fear for their future in Britain.

“I’m a Romanian passport holder, I’m about to get deported,” he said.
May, who last month set out plans to protect the rights of EU nationals living in Britain after Brexit, smiled awkwardly and said he would not be deported.
“No you’re not, you’ve got citizen's’ rights. We have got a citizen's’ rights paper,” May insisted.
When Kamer said her offer was not as good as the current EU rules, May continued: “It’s very similar, very similar. The key difference is the European Court of Justice.”
Kamer then adds: “I’m still worried.”
May is eventually rescued from the encounter when the Spectator editor, Fraser Nelson, tells Kamer everything “will be fine” and ushers him away. He adds “thanks for coming” as Downing Street’s new Director of Communications Robbie Gibb looks poised to intervene.
Kamer later corners Brexit Secretary David Davis over how many billions of pounds the UK will pay to Brussels in a divorce bill.
“I’m waiting for the final figure – £60 billion could pass maybe?” Kamer asks. “£40 billion may pass for the UK.”
Davis awkwardly sips his champagne and replies: “£40 billion? That’s a lot of money.”
Kamer then says the money should “pay for the NHS instead.”
The encounters happened at the annual Spectator Party, where Tory MPs rub shoulders with senior journalists in London.
