Fire tears through Glasgow fruit market after ‘explosion’ (VIDEO)
A huge fire has broken out at Glasgow fruit market following reports of an early morning “explosion.”
More than 50 firefighters at currently tackling and working to contain a fire in a warehouse on #Blochairn Road, Glasgow.

More than 40 firefighters battled the blaze at Blochairn Fruit Market in the city’s east end after the alarm was raised at 3.44am local time.
People living nearby told reporters they heard loud explosions on Thursday morning. Up to 90 percent of the building is thought to have caught fire.

There are now speed restrictions on the M8 motorway due to poor visibility from the smoke, and nearby roads have been closed.
Hundreds of traders work at the market supplying fresh fruit, vegetables and fish.
