Ryanair and Jet2 planes make contact on UK airport tarmac
Alarmed air travelers waiting to board flights at the UK’s East Midlands Airport watched as a taxiing aircraft smacked into a parked plane on the tarmac on Tuesday morning.
A Ryanair plane has bumped a Jet2 one while taxiing here at East Midlands @ema_airport been told to board but nothing is moving, frustrating! Should have taken off already #LFC#euroaway

No passengers were on board either plane at the time of the mishap.
In a statement, the airport said the collision had happened at the central passenger apron area and that flights have not been affected by the incident.
#EMA statement:A taxiing aircraft made contact with a stationary aircraft this morning on the central passenger apron at East Midlands Airport. There were no passengers on either aircraft and no one has been injured. Flights are continuing as scheduled.
