Fans of the legendary Guns N’ Roses are in paradise city after it was confirmed the original members will reunite after more than two decades to headline California’s Coachella Music Festival in April.

In an emoji-filled tweet on Tuesday, frontman Axl Rose wrote: "It's "confirmed!" Guns N' Roses is Headlining Coachella 2016!!", while Slash posted a GnR picture with a Coachella stamp to his official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Set to rock out on the Californian stage on Saturday, April 16 and again on Saturday, April 23, it is widely speculated that Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan will feature in the lineup, the first time since 1993 when the group toured with "Use Your Illusion".

Many thought there was a one-in-a-million chance the original band would reunite after such a long period, but their patience has been rewarded and they will soon be knocking on the Empire Polo Club’s door trying to get in.

It seems their $3 million per show price reported by Billboard may have been met. Not bad for a few hours work.

Slash and Axl had numerous disagreements which saw to the band’s original demise, but Axl has been touring using the name Guns N' Roses, making more than $15 million in Las Vegas recently.

While it has yet to be confirmed if the reunited group will tour further, it’s widely expected that they will announce a stadium tour of North America in the coming months with the potential to rake in tens of millions of dollars.

For those who are more into dance music, LCD Soundsystem is also reuniting for Coachella this year and will join other headiners such as Calvin Harris, Sufjan Stevens, Disclosure, and Sia.

Best of all, festival-goers headed to the venue near Palm Springs can expect bright April sunshine as opposed to a cold november rain.
