WWE wrestling legend and James Bond star Dave Bautista has verbally bodyslammed boxer Manny Pacquiao for his recent homophobic slurs, branding him a “f**king idiot”.
A former multiple-weight world champion, Pacquiao had his lucrative sponsorship deal with Nike canceled after comparing gay people to animals in a recent TV interview.
“It's common sense - will you see any animals where male is to male and female is to female?” he said at the time. “The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve of male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals.”
Bautista, who, like Pacquiao, shares Filipino ancestry, vented his fury when questioned about the comments while signing autographs at an airport baggage claim. And it was all captured on video.
“My mom happens to be a lesbian...so I don’t find it funny,” he said. “If anyone called my mother an animal, I’d stick my foot in his ass.”
Asked if he wanted “to teach Manny a lesson”, the 6ft 5in, 280lb Spectre actor replied: “No if that’s his opinion, that’s his opinion, but I don’t appreciate it. There’s no coming back from that. As far as his opinions go, he can stick that s**t up his ass.”
