A robbery in Los Angeles netted burglars $4.5 million worth of makeup, or a priceless supply of dramatic looks. Thieves made off with 100,000 eyeshadow palettes after breaking into a Chatsworth warehouse that stored Anastasia brand cosmetics.

The beauty bandits broke into an Anastasia Beverly Hills warehouse in Chatsworth in late January, making off with over 100,000 “Modern Renaissance” eyeshadow palettes valued at $42 a piece retail, authorities reported Thursday.

The heist was an industrious one. Sometime between January 28 and 30, an unknown number of robbers entered the San Fernando Valley warehouse by cutting through the roof.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) encouraged anyone with information to come forward.

Anastasia Beverly Hills is a high-end makeup brand founded by Anastasia Soare, whose reputation as the “definitive eyebrow expert” has garnered her a cache of celebrity clients, including Kim Kardashian, who refers to her as a “guru.

The brand has yet to comment on the matter.
