‘Is he receiving messages from Russia?’ Trump battles against umbrella, Twitter laughs (VIDEO)
Some saw Donald Trump's inability to tame an umbrella in strong wind as symbolic of his time in office, while others thought he was trying to use the household item to tune in to secret messages from Vladimir Putin.
Looking presidential while descending the airstairs is a struggle in the best of times, but the White House incumbent had a particularly torturous walk in front of the cameras after he landed in Washington in windy weather following a rally on Saturday night.

Attacking a politician, however powerful, for not being able to control the elements may seem petty, but it was never going to stop Trump's critics online.
I feel like the umbrella is maybe trying to escape one of Trump’s advances.

The wind was extremely strong. Unbelievably strong. The worst wind the weather channel has ever recorded as a matter of fact and yet, folks, I remained on my feet which is very difficult to do. I have tremendous balance. Fantastic. Nobody can balance in the wind like me.

Some suggested things were not what they seemed.
I see he turned his umbrella inside out to catch the latest broadcast from the KGB.

Obviously, Hillary ordered Comey to sabotage that umbrella to distract from the fact she conspired with Russia to get Trump elected. 💁🏻♀️/s

But for many the deeper meaning was philosophical.
The Trump Umbrella is a perfect allegory for Trump's business history. Starts promising, severe under-performance, lack of interest in resolution, runs it to the ground, hands off the problem to someone else. #TrumpUmbrellapic.twitter.com/axyNVwXlnB
