Campaign for 2018 US midterm elections has been marred by mutual hostility, toxic rhetoric, and even some violence. Is this a low point that the country simply has to push through, or only a preview for a nightmarish 2020?

November 6 is being touted by some media outlets as the most important in modern American history. Critics of President Donald Trump are hoping for a ‘blue wave’ to come and cripple his administration’s ability to pass legislation that people on the left don’t like. And some Democrats say any tricks are fine at this juncture if they undermine the Republicans. RT takes a look at how US politics got so sour.
