Two people have died and over 50 have been injured as more than 100 vehicles piled up on a foggy interstate highway in southeastern Texas on Thanksgiving Day.

At least seven tractor trailers were involved, some of them carrying hazardous materials, but they are not leaking, local officials said.Firefighters had to use the 'jaws of life' to cut people out of a car and pickup truck, Chief Charles Sonnier of the Labelle-Fannett Volunteer Fire Department was quoted as saying by KFDM News.I-10 West has been reopened, while I-10 East will remain closed for another 8-10 hours.Authorities say the chain reaction accident happened because of extremely dense fog in the area.
