PETA stage graphic 'meat is murder' protest in Germany (VIDEO)
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have staged a dramatic protest dubbed the 'Human Meat Mountain' in Frankfurt, Germany.
Protesters, covered in red paint, laid on top and beside each other in Romerberg town square to highlight the vast quantities of animals that are killed for consumption every year.
Organisers say they wanted to “show people meat is murder,” adding that they hope people will “leave meat off their plates and switch to a vegan diet.”
YouTube users haven’t been so sympathetic to the cause, however, with one branding the participants as “disgusting brainwashed human beings,” while another said it was a “dumb” protest.
“Not even close to being a mountain, more like a meat plateau,” another joked.
I seriously have a problem w/ PETA comparing anyone who eats meat to serial killers.Just because I like bacon does not make me a psychopath🌭

PETA says it has 5 million members and supporters worldwide, and focuses on four areas: the food industry, the clothing trade, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry.
Over a month of eating NO meat. @PETA and vegans everywhere would be so proud 😝 #peta#vegan

On its website, PETA claims that not only is it the largest animal advocacy organization in the world, but also the most engaged-with advocacy organization on social media.
