You say “Russia,” we say “bear!” The stereotype is strong and is sometimes much closer to life than assumed. Like in this heartwarming case of a cub adopted by an airfield crew in Tver, some 200km from Moscow.
The bear cub was found on a landing strip in April 2016 at an airfield in the Tver Region. Locals named him Mansur, which in Altai means 'bear'.
Mansur has since gained weight, although he enjoys plenty of exercise like climbing stairs...
...and going down his slide.
Mansur keeps himself busy at all times: here he can be seen helping out with the equipment.
He's very friendly with the staff and it's a mutual thing.
A husky of one of the employees has also befriended little Mansur, who will grow at least five times her size when he reaches adulthood.
