Ghostly orb spooks cameraman in abandoned prison (VIDEO)
Freaky footage has emerged of an apparent orb of light floating through the corridor of a disused prison in Northern Ireland, which witnessed the execution of many criminals decades ago.
David O’Reilly, who used his phone to record the encounter, posted a slow-motion video to Facebook explaining that an “orb” can be seen heading straight for him before then changing course in what he said was “creepy stuff.”
The phone footage was taken inside Crumlin Road Gaol, also known as Her Majesty's Prison Belfast.
Opened in 1845, authorities carried out public executions there until 1901 because the location did not have a gallows. An execution chamber was eventually constructed inside the prison and was used until 1961 when the last hangings took place.

In the 20 years since the prison closed, a number of supernatural sightings have been reported. Paranormal tours are even held in the death row cells and execution chamber.

O’Reilly, who attended a tour of the Crumlin Road Gaol, told the Mirror he “saw some very strange things.”
Ghost hunters have told tales of doors being slammed mysteriously and hearing voices calling for help while walking around the prison.
