Search teams have rescued a dog buried beneath rubble following a 6.6 magnitude earthquake which severely damaged parts of central Italy.
Video filmed in the town of Norcia shows one of the dog’s legs sticking out of the rubble of a collapsed building. Rescuers carefully remove the debris to reveal the dog’s head and other legs while providing it with water.

The animal was safely taken from the wreckage.
Around 15,000 people have been left homeless following the earthquake and 20 people injured following the quake which hit on Sunday.

The area is still on alert after 200 aftershocks were registered following the quake, some of which were measured at a magnitude of between 4.0 and 4.6.
In August 300 people were killed when a quake hit the area.
