Star Wars fans created their own dramatic Speeder Bike battle using hydro-powered jetpacks, and they caught it all on tape.
The fight pits stormtroopers against Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and even a bunch of adorable children dressed as Ewoks.
The characters race along the Sacramento river in California engaged in fierce combat, struggling to knock each other out of the sky. Luke and Leia do battle with stormtroopers on Speeder Bikes as Chewie and Han Solo scuffle with bucketheads on the shore.
The video’s creators used Jetovators, which are like hydro-powered jetpacks that hook up to jet skis – specially modified to look like the famous Star Wars Speeder Bikes.
A huge amount of work went into the three minute tape. It was shot over the course of two days, with around 30 people involved. One of the crew commented in a “Behind the scenes video” that they used over 75 rolls of reinforced duct tape to create the crafts. Despite numerous crashes, the Speeder Bikes remained largely intact when filming finished.
YouTuber Devin Graham uploaded the video earlier this week, as excitement builds ahead of the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – the latest installment in the Star Wars franchise.
