In September, Dorsey added his name to the ‘Pardon Snowden’ campaign supporting a presidential pardon for Snowden, who has been living in Russia since revealing details of the NSA mass surveillance programs in 2013. He faces two charges of espionage in the US.
Dorsey was among the first to welcome Snowden to Twitter last year. Despite having 2.65 million followers, Snowden follows only one account – the NSA.
