Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey interviewed Edward Snowden on Tuesday via the social media company’s live-streaming service Periscope.
Hosting the event at the the tech company's headquarters in San Francisco, Dorsey, who supports a presidential pardon for the NSA whistleblower, spoke to Snowden for around one hour.
Questions were submitted to Dorsey using the hashtag #AskSnowden, and covered a variety of issues.
In September, Dorsey added his name to the ‘Pardon Snowden’ campaign supporting a presidential pardon for Snowden, who has been living in Russia since revealing details of the NSA mass surveillance programs in 2013. He faces two charges of espionage in the US.
Dorsey was among the first to welcome Snowden to Twitter last year. Despite having 2.65 million followers, Snowden follows only one account – the NSA.
