President-elect Donald Trump and entertainer Kanye West met at Trump Towers on Tuesday. The two great reality TV and celebrity minds got together to discuss “life,” Trump said. Needless to say, the internet went into overdrive.

The meeting between the US billionaire reality star turned future commander-in-chief and the rapper who married into the world’s biggest reality TV family and named his album after Jesus Christ, took place after West requested a 15-minute meeting, Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks confirmed.

It’s thought the two may have discussed how Trump could ‘Run this Town’, while hoping to achieve ‘Stronger’ approval ratings than his predecessors.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Trump told reporters. The two have a lot in common, from their wealth to their tendencies for making long, controversial statements – and their habit of pimping their brands through the medium of reality TV.

West was silent as the yellow-haired pair posed for pictures after the meeting, telling the press, “I just want to take a picture right now.” Plenty of ‘Flashing Lights’ followed and West, famous for rarely smiling in public, was even spotted grinning at one stage.

Trump described West as “a good man” and said they were “just friends.” He may need to ‘Watch the Throne’ though, as the musician claimed he would run for president in 2020.

“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views,” he told BBC’s Radio One in August. “I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth.”

A source told E! News the rapper wanted to discuss becoming an “ambassador of sorts,” and is interested in an “entrepreneurial leadership role” in Trump's cabinet. Then again, Kanye may just be a Russian spy.

Trump had scheduled a press conference on Tuesday to address his plans to separate himself from his business empire, but announced Monday that this had been cancelled.

West later tweeted that he had met with the president-elect to discuss "multicultural issues," adding that he thought it was important to have a direct line to the future president.
