Trump’s awkward handshake with Trudeau becomes instant meme
An awkward moment that was caught on camera between US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during their first face to face meeting in the White House has sent the internet into meltdown mode.

Adding to Trump’s steadily growing collection of awkward handshakes, the US president put out his hand to Trudeau only to be met with a bemused stare.
While it was merely a split-second snap captured by a lucky photographer, and in fact Trudeau went on to happily shake Trump’s hand, the Twitterati couldn’t resist but point out all the possible thoughts that could have been running through the Canadian PM’s head.

The photo provided perfect fodder for golden shower jokes and Trump’s tiny hands memes.
And of course, coming just days after a clumsy handshake with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, it gave more substance to allegations that Trump is just terrible at shaking hands.

However, when it comes to the hilarity stakes, we’re not quite sure if it beats President Barack Obama’s awkward moment with Cuban President Raul Castro last year.

It wasn’t just Trump’s interaction with Trudeau, however, that caused a stir online. A series of photos of First Daughter Ivanka Trump alongside Trudeau at a roundtable discussion with female CEOs also got tongues wagging.

Looks like Canada has a new fan in Ivanka Trump. Or maybe Trudeau just ordered a handbag from her. Can't tell. pic.twitter.com/RqPGaoDqlA
