Seemingly discontent with the Brexit result, which once fully enacted will further restrict immigration to the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Theresa May now says she wants to make holiday makers suffer and “lead the world in preventing tourism.”
Britain’s new iron lady made the embarrassing gaffe while on the campaign trail in Wales. In a speech, which was broadcast live on BBC News, May said she wanted to “to strike deals across the world for trading, for exporting British goods and services,” before adding that “we want to lead the world in preventing tourism.”
It’s quite probable that May meant to say “lead the world in preventing terrorism” but that hasn’t stopped netizens from having a little fun at the PM’s expense, after the clip went viral on social media.
