It seems that even the most average of snowboarders will be lighting up the slopes this ski season.
Online footage has emerged of a motion-controlled LED snowboard developed by Japanese manufacturers 3 Enomoto – and fans are desperate to get their hands, rather their feet, on one.
“I need this in my life,” says a fan of the video showing the board being tested in Japan’s Hakuba Valley.
“I don’t want this. I need this,” says another Reddit user.
The board, which the company says is in its third prototype, has a trick detection feature which causes lights to react to the rider’s moves.
The boards feature a number of lighting sequences and a 24-bit full-color spectrum. There is also a Bluetooth connector so lighting patterns can be synced with the music on your phone.
The boards are not yet in production, but with fans already suggesting a Kickstarter campaign to speed up the process, it will be no surprise to see it on the slopes soon.
