‘Where does he think Israel is?’ Chelsea Clinton trolls Trump over Middle East fail (VIDEO)

Donald Trump’s slip of the tongue at a meeting with the Israeli president has been trolled by Chelsea Clinton. The former first daughter suggested the US commander-in-chief’s geographical knowledge may not be up to scratch.

Speaking to a room full of delegates during a Monday meeting in Israel, which included the nation’s president, Reuven Rivlin, Trump revealed he had “just got back from the Middle East.”

The US president was referring to his May 21 visit to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he put the finishing touches to a $110 billion arms deal with the oil rich nation.

Whether Trump’s apparent inference that Israel is not in the Middle East was just a case of poor wording rather than ignorance, the gaffe hasn’t stopped Clinton taking a dig at her mother’s former presidential rival.

“Where does Trump think Israel is?” Clinton said on Twitter.

Her post has received more than 20,000 likes and 8,000 retweets.

The footage of Trump’s comments also appears to show Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer reacting in disbelief.

Some Twitter users have since mocked Trump’s comments, while others have defended the US president.
