Creepy clowns got much, much creepier when Corey Berry in Hollis, Maine donned a clown mask and duct taped a machete to his amputated arm.
“Clowns are supposed to be happy. That clown would scare the daylights out of anyone,” a local resident told WCSH.
After walking down a road where he spooked out locals, 31-year-old Berry disappeared into the woods, where he walked for two miles before police arrested him when he stumbled onto a local’s land.
RT.com contacted Maine State Police who provided a dashcam image of Berry wearing his clown mask.
“You think you move out in this nice safe area and someone comes out with a machete,” another local said. Berry, who was reported to be intoxicated, told investigators he was taking part in a prank.
He was taken into custody and charged with criminal threatening. He was released a short time later on $200 jail.
Last year a ‘killer clown’ craze caused panic around the world, when people dressed up as creepy clowns and attempted to scare people, sometimes using knives and even a chainsaw.
