Kalashnikov have unveiled the latest incarnation of their iconic assault rifle, the AK-47. The company says new generation firearm called the AK-12 combines reliability with precision, and can be used with one hand.

The factory which developed the new rifle decided to stick with the classic layout of the AK-47, even though it is a completely new weapon.

The Kalashnikov makers claim its has better range, increased fire dispersion, better ergonomics, usability and a potential for configuration changes.

The new weapon is as reliable as the AK-74, the Izmash factory CEO Maksim Kuzyuk says, but the dynamic characteristics differ significantly. It considerably increases the accuracy of shooting. The rifle is capable of firing in three modes: single shot, three shots and automatic fire mode.

Also, AK-12 is capable of using magazines of various types and capacity.

The basic feature of the new rifle is its modularity. It will serve as a basic platform for designing of over 20 modifications of small-arms weapons of various purpose and calibre.

AK-12’s composition allows operating it single-handedly, and can be converted for left or right handed use.
The rifle can accommodate night vision and Holo-sights, target indicator, or a light grenade launcher.

The AK-12 is undergoing firing tests in extreme conditions which should be completed by the end of the year. The Russian Ministry of Interior has already agreed to test the AK-12 in its special police units after official certification of the weapon.

@ Rogue:

You are very ignorant person;  those "Russian AK47's" you are blathering on about are NOT Russian, but instead are crummily made imitations of Russian AK47's. and these imitations are cranked out in giant factories in USA (and illegal Jew so-called "state' in Palestine) by the million.

i have seen these wretched pieces of crummily-made junk and they are nothing short of abominable:  the "workmanship" on this horrible cheap junk is indescribably rotten, and they not got a single "good point" about them:  crummily made, horribly inaccurate when firing. They also are all only semi-auto, i have not heard of any that have Automatic firing option. They seem actually to have been copied from Chinese Norinco (very poor quality semi-automatic Chinese imitation of Russian AK47) except that at least a Norinco LOOKS like a real Russian AK!!!

They are NOTHING like the fabulous Russian AK47 except in an approximate appearance, but as soon as you see a Russian AK47 and an AmeriJew imitation the visual difference alone sticks out like Hillary Clintons and bin-Yamin Netenyhu's poisonous, lying forked tongues!!!

To all those bleating about "Russia floods Third World with AK47's so brown skins slaughter each other", well what a load of HOGWASH.

In actual fact is Zionist USrael who is responsible for indiscriminate swamping of Asia and Africa (and elsewhere) with appallingly crudely made, dirt-cheap imitations of the Russian AK47.

In the USA and illegal Jew enclave Occupied Palestine, MILLIONS of these loathesome "AK47" imitations (i have seen them, and believe me, they are HORRIBLE) are churned out of the factories:  Mikhail Kalashnikov has been bitterly complaining for two decades about what the AmeriJews have been doing (Mr. Kalashnikov was never asked for permission by the AmeriJews), primarily because the abominable AmeriJew imitations were giving Russian Kalashnikov's a bad name via ignorant people thinking an AmeriJew gun was actually a Russian gun!!!

Mossad propagandists eagerly took advantage of this (in order to economically attack Russia) by publishing newspaper and magazine articles claiming that the AmeriJew imitation AK47's were "Russian" AK47's and pronouncing them "primitive, inaccurate, junk".

But a military officer from my country, recently returned from operations in Afghanistan (unfortunately my country is enmeshed in Zionist Empire) said:  "If you get hit by a bullet from a Russian-made AK47, you stay hit!!!".
