Blast kills one in South Ossetian capital

One person has been killed and one injured in a car blast in the centre of South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali. It occurred around 9 PM local time. The car belonged to South Ossetia's Prosecutor General's office.
Head of the Committee for Information and Press of the Georgian breakaway republic said it's thought to be an attempt on the Prosecutor General's life. The driver was wounded and one woman was killed. At the moment investigators are working at the scene.
“There have been several attempts on the Prosecutor General's life in the past. It's linked to his professional activities. Recently Georgian nationals have been subject to criminal cases on terrorism charges against South Ossetian officials. This is the version our law enforcement agencies are putting forward at the moment,” said.
