Camels on the catwalk

The Gulf state of Kuwait has held a beauty pageant…for camels. Hundreds of cute ‘ships of the desert’ from around the Gulf region were taken to the remote town of Al Abdeli, 150 kilometres from Kuwait City.
Camels are still widely used in the region and raising them is considered a valuable part of the Bedouin's Arab heritage.
Ironically, the owner of the best-looking beast won a more modern means of transport – an off-road vehicle.
