Castro rule over in Cuba?

Cuba's ailing President Fidel Castro has hinted he might give up the leadership.
In a letter read out on Cuban television, the 81-year-old leader stated his duty was not to cling to office but “to pass on his experience and ideas.”
Castro has not been seen in public for sixteen months since undergoing stomach surgery in 2006.
At that time he handed over power to his brother Raul on a temporary basis.
