Contact Group discuss Kosovo in Vienna

Representatives of Russia, the EU and the U.S. have been meeting in the Austrian capital of Vienna to discuss the status of Kosovo. The members of the Contact Group declined to comment as they emerged from the German Embassy after the closed-door session.
The U.S. says it wants to help Kosovo achieve its goal of independence from Serbia within months.
Serbia's parliament has promised an ''energetic response'' if that happens without the backing of the United Nations.
Russia says a new UN resolution must take into account Serbian interests and not be based on the previous western-backed independence plan.
