Dagestan police seize home-made bomb

Police have discovered a powerful pipe bomb during a raid on a house in the Russian republic of Dagestan. The device had the explosive power of up to 15 kilograms of TNT.
The bomb consisted of a metal tube packed with explosives and nuts and bolts designed to cause maximum human casualties.
A 40-year-old woman who had been staying in the house has been arrested in connection with the discovery.
A bomb squad carried out a controlled explosion outside the city.
