Powerful blast hits Damascus, at least 3 dead

A powerful explosion has hit Ruken al-Deen neighborhood in Damascus, killing at least three people in the latest blast to strike the Syrian capital.

SANA news agency reported that an explosive device was planted under a car parked on Rukneddin highway near Ibn al-Nafis Hospital in Damascus

RT Arabic's correspondent puts the current death toll at three, and the number of injured at five - all mostly civilians.

Fighting continues in Syria’s bloody civil war, which has now claimed 80,000 lives, according to latest UN estimates.
