Davydenko knocked out in 1st round...again

Russia's Nikolay Davydenko has suffered his second successive first round exit, losing to Frenchman Florent Serra at the Dutch Open.

After taking the first set Davydenko then lost the next two. Last week he also lost in the first round at the Swiss Open.

There was some good news for Russia at the Dutch Open. Igor Andreev comfortably won his match:  6-1, 6-1 over Janko Tipsarevic.

Mikhail Youzhny joins him in round two after winning in straight sets.

Vinokourov slips behind at Tour de France

It's been a bad day for pre-race favourite Aleksandr Vinokourov at the Tour de France. The Kazak's hopes of claiming the yellow jersey all but disappeared he finishing over three minutes behind the winner of stage nine, Juan Mauricio Soler.
