5 dead in Beirut bomb attack
Published 12 Dec, 2007 06:54 | Updated 12 Dec, 2007 09:54An explosion has rocked a Christian suburb of east Beirut, killing a senior military official and at least four others.
Early reports say that a car bomb caused the blast.
The attack comes amid a power vacuum in the country, a day after a parliamentary vote to elect a new president was postponed for the eighth time.
