Saakashvili lost the real war, and now after the EU report he is losing a publicity war as well, former Irish Times international editor Seamus Martin told RT.
However, Martin says, there is little prospect that the international community will now be more inclined to consider the independence claims of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
“The general view of the international community – and by the way, this report – is that Russia’s recognition of these two places is not legal,” Martin said.

UK police steps up fight against honor killings among immigrantsThousands of women and children worldwide are killed every year because their families believe they brought dishonor on them. These killings have recently been on the rise within immigrant communities in Western Europe. |
Wrong - Billions of dollars of money is being transferred to them from the EU and US, a thankyou for killing Russians and South Ossetinas, money that will support a nice retirement for the administartion in the US and EU. A golden handshake for putting the bayonet in, for maiming children, for disabling people, for destroying their lives. No the administration is one big winner, it is the Georgian people that is the one big loser, along with all the grieving families as a result of the US led and Ukraine and Israeli supported operation in Georgia in the name of EU expansion and Russian destruction.

I think it was a strategic blunder on Russia's behalf to formally recognise the two regions as independent states.
