Published: 01 September, 2007, 18:20

80 kilogrammes of explosives have been found in the Republic of Ingushetia, according to the Russian news agencies.

The cache was found in the village of Voznesenskaya on the border with the Republic of Chechnya.

It is claimed the explosives are of the same type used in an explosion in the Ingush town of Nazran on Friday, which killed four police officers.

The explosives are also said to be identical to those planted on railroad tracks in the town last month.
