Father Frost puts holiday travellers in party mood

Published 30 Dec, 2007 16:10 | Updated 30 Dec, 2007 19:10

Moscow's airports are packed with people on their way to hundreds of destinations to celebrate the New Year. And sending them off with a good holiday feeling has become a top priority. Music, clowns and Father Frost are on hand to get the atmosphere right

Almost 850,000 people are flying out from Domodedovo this holiday season. That's a 25 per cent increase on last year's figure.

Dancing around a Christmas tree, playing recorders, painted faces and extremely excited children.  Not a typical scene for an airport. But it's what Moscow airports look like at this time of year.
