300,000 flee China storm

China's death toll from tropical storm Bilis rose to 154. Torrential rains swept away houses and triggered devastating mudslides after Bilis roared ashore on Friday.

Hardest-hit was the inland province of Hun An, where almost 80 died, according to an official news agency report. The storm, reaching China’s southern coastline, has forced the evacuation of more than 300,000.
