Head of Russia’s Army Housing Service found dead

The Russian Prosecutor’s General Office is investigating the death of a senior officer. General- Colonel Viktor Vlasov was the acting head of the army's housing service at the Defence Ministry.
According to the Ria Novosti news agency, the General was found dead in his Moscow office on Thursday morning. A gun was found next to his body.
The 57-year-old Vlasov took the position in 2007.
“A criminal investigation has been launched into the suicide of the acting head of army's housing service General-Colonel Viktor Vlasov. An investigation group has been set up. They are currently examining the scene of the incident,” said Vladimir Markin, a representative from the Russian Prosecutor's General Office.
