Barack Obama has come a step closer to winning the Democratic nomination for the U.S. presidential election. He beat rival Hillary Clinton in the Vermont primary, giving him 12 straight victories. Republican front-runner John McCain also won in Vermont,
The result is another blow for the election hopes of Hillary Clinton.
Many political analysts believe anything other than a convincing win for her in Texas and Ohio will spell the end of her presidential dream.
