Iraq, Israel & Russia no peace enthusiasts: study

A yearly study conducted by The Economist magazine’s research division ranked Israel and Russia among the world’s ten least peaceful nations. For the second year in a row, Iraq was named as the most warring country of the 140 observed.
China, ranked 67th is more peaceful then the United States, that was placed 97th.
Iceland tops the list as the most peaceful nation in the world, beating last year’s leader Norway.
The study evaluates indicators like defence budget and the number of paramilitary personnel per 100,000 citizens to set the Global Peace Index for countries surveyed.
