Israel makes concessions

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has agreed to release $US 100 MLN in frozen funds to the Palestinians and ease travel restrictions in the West Bank. However, Hamas seems dissatisfied.
The promises were made during a two-hour meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the first Israeli-Palestinian summit in a year- and-a-half. Meanwhile, Hamas spokesman Ghazai Hamad dismissed the Isreali release of funds and opening of checkpoints as minor concessions.
