Last Italian clubs leave Champions League

Holders Manchester United are through to the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Jose Moriniho's Inter Milan 2-0 on Old Trafford while Arsenal edged Roma on penalties in another English-Italian rendezvous.
Manchester’s Nemanja Vidic got the home side off to the perfect start as he scored with just four minutes to go. And the defending champions doubled their lead five minutes after half time. Christiano Ronaldo netted his first Champions League goal since he scored in last year's final in Moscow.
Barcelona is also in the final eight following a 5-2 victory on the night against Lyon.
Meanwhile, Porto's 0-0 draw at home to Athletico Madrid was enough to see them through on the away goals rule.
So, all four English clubs – Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, two Spanish – Barcelona and Villiareal, as well as Germany’s Bayern Munich and Portugal’s Porto go next, while all three Italian clubs were eliminated.
