Lithuanian vandals stain WW2 monument

On the V-day eve, a group of people threw red paint at the monument to Soviet Soldiers in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius.
A short time later, counterterrorist units destroyed a suspicious bag nearby, which turned out to be a dummy explosive device.
Authorities suspect the bag was left by the same group that vandalised the statue.
The monument has been cleaned up and an investigation into the incident is underway.
