The funeral of an Egyptian man took a dramatic twist after the not-so departed was mistakenly declared dead by doctors.

Hamdi Hafez al-Nubi, a 28 year-old waiter from southern Egypt, was pronounced dead after he suffered a heart attack while serving tables.

After his body was returned from hospital, the relatives washed him and began funeral preparations as they were dead-set on burying him the same day in accordance with Islamic tradition.

The grave mistake was revealed as a doctor came to sign the death certificate. He found it strange that the body was warm and at closer look realized that the man was still alive. The man’s mother fainted upon hearing the news.

Both al-Nubi and his mother were revived, turning a mournful funeral into a lively celebration.

Two thousand years ago the doctor could have become a messiah. But these doctors do not have unexplained fire (light) come out from their graves every year on Good Saturday.

This happened in the village of Naga al-Simman in the province of Luxor and it occurred last week.

If this is a real story, where are the dates?  What is the name of the city where this happened?  Who was the doctor?  In what hospital did this occur?

RT, you really dropped the ball on this one.  This is as fake and tabloid-ish as it gets.  What's next?  Reprinting stories from the Weekly World News?  I feel like I should be expecting a punchline.  Please hire some real journalists and stop perpetating this rubbish.
