President Dmitry Medvedev has honored 15 Russian navy personnel, who successfully accomplished their mission in the Gulf of Aden.
President Dmitry Medvedev has honored 15 Russian navy personnel, who successfully accomplished their mission the Gulf of Aden.
The sailors "honorably fulfilled the difficult and very responsible mission of defending Russian and foreign vessels in the Gulf of Aden," Medvedev said at the award ceremony.
Under a UN mandate, the Russian fleet has been escorting ships in the Gulf of Aden since October 2008.
The president also announced the successful completion of a submarine strategic missile test.
