Texas authorities have continued raids on a ranch belonging to a breakaway Mormon sect, following reports that an underage girl had been sexually abused.

Almost 200 women and children have been removed from the farm since Thursday.

The authorities covered them with sheets as they led them out, in an attempt to protect their identies.

Temporary shelters have been set up in churches and government buildings to house the women and children.

There are also claims that a 50-year-old man may have married a 15-year-old girl, who is thought to have given birth to his child.
