Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says Moscow has no intention of forming a military alliance with China and India to counter U.S. missile defence plans.

Mr Lavrov made the statement after meeting with his Chinese and Indian counterparts in the Chinese city of Harbin.

The three foreign ministers said diplomacy is the only way to solve international security threats.

Myanmar unrest

Russia, China and India have also said they oppose sanctions against Myanmar.

However, all three are urging the regime's military junta to engage in dialogue with the United Nations.
