Police arrest 100 fans in Austria

While the European Football Championship is only just gaining pace, some fans have already got into trouble with police. Around 100 were detained in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt on Sunday, which is one of the host ven

Police had to intervene when they began shouting Nazi-like slogans during Germany's opener against Poland.

Austrian police said in a statement that the fans had been watched for some time and had been detained in a joint operation between Austrian and German police.

According to the Austria Press Agency, the fans face charges of breaching the peace and could be expelled from the country.
