Policemen attacked in Chechnya

In Chechnya, one policeman has been killed after a group of gunmen fired at a school and the house of a village elder. The incident took place in a small settlement of the Itum-Kali region of the republic.
“At 11 pm local time some unidentified people opened fire at a house and later a school in the village of Gukhoy in the Itum-Kalinsky district of the Chechen Republic. One police officer was killed in the house and four people were injured at the school. An investigation is underway at both sites,” said Valery Kuznetsov, Chechen Prosecutor.
