‘Progress’ cargo space ship launched

The Russian cargo space ship ‘Progress’ has blasted off from the Baykonur spaceport in Kazakhstan.
It is heading for the International Space Station carrying supplies – including new space suits, equipment for scientific experiments and fuel.
The ship is expected to dock with the ISS on Tuesday after a five-day trip.
It’s the second voyage of the new generation of the ‘Progress’, which was updated and modernized since its first launch in November 2008.
