River of foam puzzles locals near St.Pete

Ecologists in Russia's Leningrad region got a surprise when they found the local river and nearby fields covered in a lather of bubbles. Firemen used water cannon to tackle the foam while police attempted to stop people from reaching the strange substance
While children were entertained by the bubbling waterway in Nikolskoe, it certainly concerned officials who had no idea what was causing it.
It turned out the cause of the soapy suds were because a local chemical factory had dumped huge amounts of shampoo in the river. An investigation is underway.
