After a search of more than a year, has finally tracked down a Russian businessman has finally been tracked down in Britain. The Interior Ministry has filed a request to extradite the former owner of the oil company Russneft, Mikhail Gutseriev, from Brita
He is charged with illegal entrepreneurship and tax evasion.
An international warrant for his arrest was issued in August last year after he failed to respond to legal summons.
An inquiry into his company's activities was launched in January 2007, something Gutseriev says made him leave his post and quit the business.
Gutseriev founded Russneft in 2002. Last July it was one of Russia's top ten oil and gas companies.
